Where does the yield come from?

stBTC is a staked, synthetic representation of Bitcoin on Botanix. By depositing Bitcoin into a permissionless smart contract, you receive stBTC tokens that represent your stake in the vault. As Botanix processes transactions, 50% of the network’s gas fees—paid in Bitcoin—are distributed to stBTC holders, increasing the Bitcoin value of your stake over time.
