Bitcoin 2100 marks the launch of the Botanix mainnet in July 2025. It invites everyone from seasoned crypto veterans to complete newcomers to explore Bitcoin City, a virtual world powered by Bitcoin and built to reflect its broader ecosystem. In the following sections, we’ll break down what Bitcoin 2100 is all about-from the gamified experience of Bitcoin City and its central hub, the Bitcoin Citadel, to mini-games, rewards, and the larger mission Botanix stands for.

Welcome to Bitcoin City - the world of Botanix

In this world, the global financial system has undergone a revolution. A great shift in 2040 made Bitcoin the world’s sole currency, wiping out traditional banks and dismantling centralized authorities. In their place rose a decentralized, self-sustaining society. 

In a place hidden from all the turmoil, surrounded by mountains and thriving nature, a new future began to dawn. At its heart stands the Citadel, and surrounding it - Bitcoin City. This virtual cityscape opens up an entirely new world, where every corner and quest is tied to real blockchain applications. In Bitcoin City, users embark on missions to interact with decentralized applications (dApps) on the Botanix network-earning rewards along the way.

This way, you get to learn by doing – exploring different "neighborhoods" of the city instead of just reading about Bitcoin DeFi or smart contracts. They showcase various dApps or services, and you complete engaging tasks to understand how they work. For example, one task might take you to a decentralized exchange to swap tokens, another to a Bitcoin stablecoin platform to make a payment, and a third to a lending dApp where you can deposit or borrow assets – all within an exciting narrative set in a virtual city.

In addition to being able to get sats in games (small fractions of Bitcoin), you will also be treated to exciting challenges from our partners!

Now let’s take a look at the cityscape and what the different locations in our city have to offer!

In the following articles, we will take a tour of all the Bitcoin City facilities and talk about the games available there. This city has a lot of artefacts that are not only related to the history of Bitcoin, but also aimed at teaching users all the mysteries of Crypto.

Bitcoin Citadel VIP zone

Bitcoin City has an exclusive Bitcoin Citadel, which we will describe in detail below. There, users will be able to access four specialised games. All games reward users with sats, which can be instantly cashed in real bitcoins. Spin the wheel and guess the blockchain requiring transactions on the chain.

1. “Find Satoshi's Keys", a clue game where you can find the private key of 0.1 BTC. Every week a new clue game starts. 

2. “Spin the wheel” — pay 1 sat to spin and win a guaranteed prize of at least 2 sats, up to 10m. You always get more than you put in.

3. “Guess the blockhash”, a lottery system where you pay 100 sats to win the lottery of over 50M sats. 

4. “Sats mining", daily check-ins to earn free sats.

You can also get referral codes on the digital panel in the Citadel to invite members. Each successful referral gives you 100 sats.

Meanwhile, one of the most exciting aspects of Bitcoin 2100 is that the rewards you earn aren’t play money or meaningless points - they’re satoshis (sats), real Bitcoin on the Botanix network. Across all games and quests, your achievements are rewarded with sats, which can ultimately be swapped for real Bitcoin that you hold in your own wallet.

The reward system is also balanced and fair for all types of players. Small daily check-ins might earn just a few sats, while winning a game can bring in larger amounts. This tiered reward model ensures that casual participants still earn something, while active explorers get even more. And since it all runs on the blockchain, everything is fully transparent - you can see your sats in your wallet and even track reward transactions through the public Botanix blockchain explorer.

Partner Quests

To celebrate the launch of Botanix, we’ve teamed up with several projects that will be releasing quests for the citizens of Bitcoin City. Every week, new partner quests will go live. The campaign will run for about 2 months starting on July 8, and more stuff will be added along the way.

The first partner is Palladium - a stablecoin pegged to USD and natively backed by the most trusted crypto asset: BTC. Next week, we’ll publish an overview of the Palladium quest and the project itself, so you can get to know one of the key players in the Botanix world. After that, each week we’ll launch new quests and introduce you to more projects in the Botanix ecosystem.

Bitcoin Citadel: VIP Access and Exclusive Mini-Games

After a brief sightseeing stroll through Bitcoin City, we suggest you explore the main attraction, the Bitcoin Citadel. It is located in the heart of Bitcoin City, towering above the bustling streets. It is an exclusive legendary sanctuary where only the most dedicated Bitcoiners can access. Built on the oldest unbroken chain, the Citadel is home to the earliest adopters, the sharpest minds, and the heaviest cold wallets. It is not a place for tourists. Access is earned - through proof of work, proof of loyalty, and proof of value.

The Citadel is a virtual club or fortified stronghold, where special challenges and bigger rewards await. Access to this area is granted through an NFT-based VIP pass – essentially a digital membership token that proves you’re part of this world. Once you mint your VIP NFT (more on that in a bit) and enter the Citadel, you’ll unlock four exclusive mini-games that take the fun to a whole new level.

NFT Passes and Referral Program: Your Ticket to the Citadel

Before you start - you need to get an NFT VIP pass, which will be required for 3 of the 4 games. When you mint a VIP NFT for the Bitcoin 2100 campaign, you’re essentially receiving a unique digital pass in your crypto wallet that says, “I’m a VIP participant in this campaign.” This NFT isn’t just a picture; it actively unlocks content.

The campaign also boosts growth through a referral system. Each user can create a unique referral code or link to invite friends to Bitcoin 2100. Sharing this code is easy -  just send the link via Twitter, Telegram, or regular email. When a new user joins through your link, two things happen: both you and your friend receive a reward. Typically, the referrer (you) gets a bonus in sats or a power-up in a mini-game, while the newcomer receives a small welcome reward or even the ability to mint their VIP NFT right away. 

To interact with Bitcoin 2100 and receive your NFT, we recommend downloading the OKX Wallet - OKX is one of the main partners of the campaign. Once you’ve created your wallet, connect it on the website by clicking “Connect Wallet.” You’ll then see a series of dialog windows in the wallet interface - these will automatically configure the connection to the Botanix chain and prompt you to sign a message confirming that your wallet is linked to the world of Bitcoin 2100. After the network is set up, you may need to click the “Connect Wallet” button again to proceed to the signing process.

Now you’re ready to step inside the Bitcoin Citadel and start exploring the exclusive Bitcoin 2100 games. After approving the user agreement via the dialog windows, you’ll be able to access the games and mint your NFT. When you click on the games “Satoshi Spin,” “Mining SATs,” or “Predict the Block,” the Citadel interface will prompt you to mint your NFT.

Next, you will be prompted to enter a referral code that will allow you access to NFT, after which all you have to do is simply click “Mint NFT”:

To invite other players to the Bitcoin Citadel - click on the “Access Code” panel inside the Citadel (to the left of the display panel). This panel will open up a list of several referral codes for you to share!

Now that you have the NFT and access to all the games - let's review them. Here are the four interactive mini-games you’ll find in the VIP zone of the Bitcoin Citadel:

1. Satoshi Spin (Wheel of Fortune): Feeling lucky? Step up to the Satoshi Spin wheel - a classic “wheel of fortune” game with a crypto twist. Players pay 1 sat per spin for a chance to win prizes ranging from 2 to 10 million sats. Spin the wheel and see where it lands: you might win a bundle of sats, bonus quest rewards, discount coupons from partner projects, or other cool prizes. Every spin guarantees at least a small win, along with the chance to hit the jackpot. The outcomes are random yet fair, based on cryptographic randomness (imagine a dice roll determined by the blockchain that can’t be tampered with). Satoshi Spin adds an element of luck and excitement.

• Most spins should win low amounts (2-100 sats) to keep players engaged.

• Medium prizes (100-10,000 sats) should be rarer but still achievable.

• Big prizes (10,000-10,00,000 sats) should be very rare but exciting.

2. Mining SATs (Daily Visit Rewards): This mini-game is all about “mining” sats through consistency. Each day you enter Bitcoin City and visit the Sat Mining station, you receive a small reward - just like Bitcoin miners earn BTC for each block, here you earn satoshis (the smallest units of Bitcoin) for every daily check-in. The longer your streak without missing a day, the higher the rewards - modeling the compounding effect of regular mining or saving. Sat Mining is simple but effective: it encourages you to make Bitcoin 2100 a daily habit, and over time, those daily sats add up. Think of it as a loyalty program - the campaign thanks you for consistent participation with real pieces of Bitcoin.

3. Predict the Block (Prediction Game): At its core, this is also a lottery, with a 100-sat entry and a chance to win a big prize. This game ties directly into the live Bitcoin network, blending a bit of Bitcoin trivia with luck. Guess the Block Hash invites players to predict certain characteristics of the next Bitcoin block hash (for example, the last few characters of the hash, or whether a number will be even or odd). Since a Bitcoin block hash is completely unpredictable until it's mined, this game is a fun way to tap into that randomness. It's like a lottery based on the global Bitcoin mining process - truly decentralized and provably fair. No one (not even the game creators) can know the next block hash in advance, which means if you win, it’s pure luck - not a rigged outcome. And yes, winners earn sats for accurate predictions! This mini-game highlights an interesting aspect of the blockchain: using real network data to build a game. It also subtly teaches players how Bitcoin blocks work - all through the fun of guessing.

• Players predict last 6 characters of upcoming Bitcoin block hash

• Valid input characters: 0-9 and a-f (hexadecimal)

• Unlimited predictions allowed per block

• Input validation must be case-insensitive

• User pays 100 sat per participation (+ gas fees)

• All predictions must be submitted before block discovery

• Final answer available after 6 block confirmations to take reorgs into account

• Points must be distributed after 6 block confirmations

4. Satoshi’s Keys (Treasure Hunt): This is a clue-based game where you can discover the private key to 0.1 BTC - a treasure hunt inspired by the legend of Satoshi Nakamoto. You’ll scour every location in Bitcoin City searching for hidden clues and keys - they might be tucked away in partner dApps, embedded in digital art, or unlocked by solving puzzles. It’s a quest that tests your knowledge and curiosity. Find all of Satoshi’s keys, and you can unlock caches of sats or other rewards. It’s a creative way to encourage players to explore every corner of Bitcoin 2100, ensuring you learn a lot along the way. Each day a new clue appears. The clues lead to (an) answer(s) that can be hashed with SHA256. That hash is your private key which you can enter into a Botanix wallet.

• New hunt released every Monday at 00:00 UTC for 6 weeks

• One wallet to be claimed per week

• Wallet to be opened with private key

• Private key to be generated based on the week’s answer

• Key generation happens through hashing (sha256) the answer

• Need to provide a small script in the backend that generates a private key based on a string input or link to an existing tool

• Six sequential clues released daily

• Single winner format

• Hunt continues until solved or Sunday 23:59 UTC

• Each clue builds upon previous discoveries

• Clues go from very hard to easy

• Players can catch up on missed clues

• Automatic reset for new city/clues each week

The Spin the Wheel and Guess the Blockhash games require on-chain transactions. Each successfully completed task not only gives you insight into the functionality of a dApp but also rewards you with points in the form of sats (small fractions of Bitcoin) for your efforts. It’s like a blockchain theme park: educational, interactive, and rewarding. By turning educational content into quests, Bitcoin City makes advanced Bitcoin technologies accessible to everyone through a familiar game-like format.

Importantly, these tasks aren’t just simulations - they involve real transactions on the Botanix Bitcoin Chain. Botanix is an EVM-compatible (Ethereum Virtual Machine) Chain on Bitcoin, which means it enables Ethereum-style smart contracts to run on Bitcoin. So when you swap tokens or mint NFTs in Bitcoin City, you’re actually interacting with the Botanix and Bitcoin blockchains at the infrastructure level. Everyone benefits: dApp partners gain engaged users, and players get to discover the expanding Bitcoin universe in a memorable way.

The Portal and Lightning Bridge

As you may have noticed, some games require sats to play. But how do you get them in the world of Bitcoin 2100? For that, we’ve built The Portal. It connects the worlds of Bitcoin and Botanix, allowing users to transfer their BTC from the Bitcoin chain. The Portal is powered by Spiderchain, which efficiently manages peg-ins and peg-outs. After clicking the “Bridge Now” button, you’ll be taken to the Botanix Bridge interface, which lets you deposit sats into Botanix.

You’ll also find the Lightning Bridge in the left corner of the Bitcoin City map - it allows you to transfer BTC into Botanix from the Lightning Network. It operates using technology developed by Astra Labs.
